Machine Engineering extends its investment offensive in the Innviertel region.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Innovation and Customer Center took place in
Gurten on 31 July. With an investment volume of around 16 million euros, a
global meeting point for the world of mechatronics will be built over the next
two years, creating 150 new jobs at Fill. A clear commitment to the Innviertel
region and the company site in Gurten.

Fill Machine Engineering, the family business based in the Innviertel, Austria,
is investing 16 million euros in building a state-of-the-art innovation and
customer center. It is being financed completely by the company´s own means. The
groundbreaking ceremony was held on 31 July. Construction work should be
completed by the 50th anniversary of the company´s foundation in June 2016. The
project will create 150 new jobs at Fill over the next few years. Construction
of the innovative meeting point for the international world of mechatronics
represents another milestone in the company´s history.

growth

order to meet the ever more stringent quality requirements of our customers
around the world and further consolidate our leading position as an innovative
machine engineering company, we continuously invest in the infrastructure of our
main production plant in Gurten," says CEO and proprietor Andreas Fill.
Innovation, networking, and the exchange of views and ideas will take center
stage in the new innovation and customer center.
Plenty
of room for the new
Alongside150
state-of-the-art workplaces, the Fill Innovation and Customer Center will be
equipped with several training and conference rooms featuring the very latest
media and communications technology. An auditorium extending over two floors
will provide a meeting place for international experts from the widest variety
of industries. Lectures, training courses, and events will be held
there.
Two-year
construction period
The
gross floor area of the new Innovation and Customer Center will be around
4,500 m2.
The modern building will be flooded with light through 1,100 m2
of glass and radiate a pleasant, open atmosphere. Building work will be
completed predominantly by local companies. The center will be heated in an
environmentally friendly manner by the nearby biomass heating plant. Completion
is scheduled for June 2016 to mark the 50th anniversary of Fill Machine
Engineering.
