Europe´s coolest knowledge factory is in the Innviertel

The Future Lab in Gurten is a modern learning workshop for all generations. Fill Machine Engineering is behind the unique creative space for digital talent.

 

Covering 140 square meters, the transgenerational "Future Lab" think tank provides very special educational opportunities. In a creative, modern learning environment, children, young people, and the young at heart can acquaint themselves with technologies of the future. In a playful way, they can acquire tomorrow´s knowledge and expertise, thereby discovering their interests and future career paths. The Future Lab is not only a talent laboratory but also a creative space and open think tank where many ingenious and innovative projects can evolve.

 

Gurten, 17 December 2020 – "Our intention is to make the Fill Future Lab Europe´s coolest knowledge factory for digital talent and innovative minds. Partners from industry and research are cooperating with training facilities. Under the motto ´Discover your genius´, this is establishing a dynamic skills network for young people," explains CEO and proprietor Andreas Fill.

 

Open think tank

The state-of-the-art Future Lab has been conceived for the widest variety of target groups, beginning with stations for children from three years of age, to elementary and secondary school pupils, through to apprentices, high school students, and adults. However, Fill´s partners, customers, and suppliers also have the opportunity to collaborate here on new ideas, innovations, and cooperations. In this way, joint projects with a regional reference for sustainable networking are being established across all industries and generations.

 

Eight laboratories for inquisitive explorers

The Future Lab essentially consists of eight laboratories: Media-Lab Smart-Lab VR-Lab, Robo-Lab, Mobility-Lab, Making-Lab, Health-Lab, and Data-Lab. Each of these is a self-contained learning unit where attendees can acquaint themselves playfully and intuitively with subjects covering digitalization, research, technology, and innovation.

 

Holodeck – the coolest classroom

In addition to the Future Lab, the exceptional "Holodeck" presentation and training room is also available to learning units. Events, workshops, lectures, seminars, and lessons are turned into an incomparable experience for the participants. The "Holodeck" offers the perfect atmosphere for groups of every age. An imposing 360-degree LED wall, perfect cinema sound, comfortable lounge furniture for up to 50 people. The laboratory of the future is housed in the new Fill Future Zone building in Gurten. Together with project partner "Otelo eGen", Fill has created a modular workshop for thinking laterally and working creatively in a state-of-the-art environment and opened a window for future innovations.
