Flexible production systems from Fill Machine Engineering presented at the Fakuma international trade fair for plastics processing in Friedrichshafen.
Fill systems are characterized by new plastic and process technologies, which make them the most innovative and productive systems in the industry. The Upper Austrian machine engineering experts presented their latest developments at the Fakuma plastics trade fair, held in Friedrichshafen from 14 to 18 October. The company also presented its own application technology center for customer tests.

Cross-border innovation
The new FOX LAB application technology center was also presented at the exhibition. The center is the result of a collaboration between Fill Machine Engineering and the Northern Bavarian precision injection molding company OECHSLER. The FOX LAB is available for future application experiments relating to industrial contracts and research projects, as well as for technology demonstrations and customer training. To further enhance Fill´s industrialization expertise in the fields of upscaling, simulation, automation, and data/image processing, materials and process specialists work successfully in Application Engineering on the development, evaluation, and implementation of integrated, often variothermal, plastics engineering processes. Systematic cross-border innovation in collaboration with selected industrial and university partners allows application- and segment-specific solutions for intelligent lightweight engineering to be developed here by applying local-functionalized materials utilization and innovative tool concepts.
"One World Solar Collector" world premiere
The Sunlumo "One World Solar Collector" was presented to the global public for the first time on 14 October at the Fill exhibition stand at Fakuma. This collector, made entirely of polymeric materials, is lightweight as well as easy to assemble and recycle. Around 500,000 collectors per year can be produced in a fully automated manufacturing facility developed by Fill. This will make plastic solar-thermal systems more functional and attractive in future and, above all, will increase efficiency in production. The One World Solar Collector is resistant against thermal and climatic influences and it supports heating systems and hot water preparation.
