Success at LIGNA with high-end saws and retouching technology

New high-performance speedliner hybrid bandsaws + fully automatic spot repair system: Austrian high-tech company Fill impresses at the 2013 LIGNA trade fair in Hanover.

The high-performance bandsaws in the speedliner hybrid series for perfect wet and dry cutting and the fully automatic speedfiller spot repair system – Fill Machine Engineering underpinned its leading role with a whole range of high-tech solutions for the solid wood and plywood processing industry at LIGNA 2013 in Hanover. The Fill exhibition stand turned into a popular meeting place for the sector.

Hanover/Gurten, 16 May 2013 – Upper Austrian machine engineering company Fill is renowned for its innovative ability. Fill´s wood, plastics, and metal competence centers utilize their mutual expertise, allowing them to profit from each other through the synergy effects. In machine engineering for wood, this expertise manifests itself in high-tech quality for the wood processing industry. This was demonstrated impressively at the LIGNA World Fair for the Forestry and Wood Industries from 6 to 10 May 2013 in Hanover.

Fully automated repairing
The speedfiller spot repair system aroused the highest levels of customer interest at LIGNA. The speedfiller facilitates fully automated repairing of wood surfaces (plywood, multilayer boards, parquet) with consistently high quality. A scanner detects every possible surface flaw and passes this information to the processing portal. Defects can be milled out and then touched up with single-component filler material or two-component polyurethane. The benefits are consistent high quality and significant savings in filler material.

Incisive experience
Another trade fair highlight were the speedliner hybrid high-performance bandsaws, impressing with their very high levels of precision and efficiency. Their robust design facilitates wet and dry cutting of even the hardest types of wood with the highest levels of quality. A great many visitors saw this for themselves on the Fill exhibition stand at LIGNA in Hall 12 Stand A 30. "Our exhibition stand turned into a meeting place for the international wood processing industry. Customers, partners and friends came together here. Alongside the product presentations, networks were established and experiences shared in a relaxed atmosphere," explains Erwin Altendorfer, Manager of the Wood Competence Center at Fill.

Unbeatable cost-effectiveness
An innovative and cost-effective concept for manufacturing cross laminated timber (CLT) elements was also presented. The Fill system impresses with compactness and maximum material yield. The high flexibility and outstanding profitability of Fill production systems provide considerable competitive advantages for their customers.
