AUTOMATION YIELDS THE HIGHEST LIGHTWEIGHT CONSTRUCTION QUALITY

Automation yields the highest lightweight construction quality
Successful appearance at the Aluminium 2012 trade fair. Fill impresses with automation along the whole process chain.

The Austrian machine engineering company Fill presented convincing lightweight construction solutions in the field of metal machining and processing at the Aluminium 2012 trade fair in Düsseldorf from 9 to 11 October 2012. The intelligent interconnection of the processes creates automated production systems from a single source. Precise, cost-effective and tailored to the needs of the individual customer. "The future is in lightweight construction. Our challenge is to find new solutions that increase our customers´ productivity," says CEO Wolfgang Rathner.

Düsseldorf/Gurten, 18 October 2012 – Cost-effectiveness combined with leading edge technology, these are the two parameters behind the development of the new Fill machines and plants. Convincing examples of this were to be seen on the Fill stand at the Aluminium 2012 trade fair in Düsseldorf (9 to 11 October 2012). "The multi-functional syncromill machining centers, the robocast duplex  dual casting robot, the tiltcaster plus casting machine and the twistmaster 400 and swingmaster 315 r decoring machines are just a sample from the spectrum of modern, high-efficiency metal machining and processing lines," says Thomas Rathner, Manager of the Metal Competence Center at Fill. The Fill stand was a meeting point for the international aluminum industry during the whole fair. "We had a large number of high-quality discussions and concrete business contacts," reported a pleased Thomas Rathner.

Integrated approach
With the process expertise from 30 years of automation, Fill Machine Engineering supplies complete solutions from the raw material through to the finished, machined and tested part. Thanks to multi-functionality and great flexibility, machines and plants can be tailored precisely to the customers´ individual requirements. For example, the Fill transforming press is used as a stand-alone press with automatic or manual loading. Furthermore, it is also suitable for linking several functions and forming operations in an automated, integrated press system. The transforming press is designed to meet the requirements of the respective application.

Sustainable use of resources
The long-term trend of more efficient and sustainable resource utilization is today driving the development of new lightweight engineering solutions in all market segments. At the same time, a growing trend towards use of intelligent hybrid concepts ("material on local demand") can be seen. With the presentation forum "Lightweight Construction Perspectives" as part of the "Fill Academy", the Austrian machine engineering company is promoting the interdisciplinary exchange of information across industrial sectors to encourage the development of sustainable concepts for intelligent applications. True to the company´s motto practiced down the years: If you’re looking for the best solution, plan your future together with Fill.
